We will pose only one question to you at the end of these pages...
HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU WANT TO DO YOUR JOB???
THERE IS A BASIC VALUE THAT SHOULD BE CLARIFIED TO FOLLOW THE FACTUAL INFORMATION PROVIDED ON THIS SITE - WHAT IS COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE WATER TABLE IS NOT WATER, IT'S MUD...
The top of the saturated underground zone (mud) is called the water table - the water table level rises & falls with the seasons and the ammount of rain or melting snow that occurs - however, heavy rainfall or drought conditions, at any time, causes changes in these usual patterns...
EXCEPTIONS would be for those who live in wetlands, flood zones or areas with extended ledge formations - those are other problems altogether...
We deal with all issues...
WHY DO BURIED (underground or under floor) "PIPE" or "DUCT" SYSTEMS FAIL???
"precipitated sediment" & "structurally compromising"
Any system that moves dirt laden water thru buried (in mud) underground or buried (in mud) under the floor, via perforated pipes or ducts, produces sediment buildup within the pipe - that's a given...
Also, pipe or ducts with long runs (like on all 4 walls which is totally unnecessary) to the sump well pose another problem - the pipe or duct with holes in it may accept water in a wet area but when it passes thru a dry area the the water will come out - pipe or ducts with holes in it work both ways - now instead of addressing the water in the problem area only the pipe is spreading the water into otherwise dry locations - most of the water from the problem area, if not all, will never make it to the pump thru the pipe or duct - the water you see being pumped is being leeched from the mud in the immediate proxcimity of the pump or the rising water table...
It usually takes 5 / 7 years (some don't take that long) then the pipe is totally plugged - once buried underground or under the floor and covered with concrete you cannot access the sediment buildup - give that a moments thought - many thousands of dollars for a useless system only to return to square one...
ALSO / SO CALLED CLEAN WATER SYSTEMS: Interior perimeter duct systems that are installed on top of the footings (in the clean water zone out of the mud) and covered with concrete also have a major fault - that procedure is structurally compromising and is addressed on the next page of this site and with a photo on this page - our channeling procedure is a "clean water" procedure but buries no pipe or duct under the floor or cuts the floor all the way thru off the support of the footings (structurally compromising)...
OUR CUT CHANNELING PROCEDURE, if required and it not always is, will continue to be functional for as long as your concrete floor lasts and remains intact...
Channeling worked for the Romans over 2000 years ago and those same systems are still working today - that sounds pretty good to us - 2000 years???
FRENCH DRAINS, PERIMETER DRAINS, FOOTING DRAINS or CURTAIN DRAINS all require buried pipe or duct - how long do you think a pipe or duct with holes in it will continue to be functional when buried in mud??? - try 5 / 7 years - which # do you like, 5 / 7 or 2000???
On request we will forward you a FULL COPY of OUR WARRANTY before we even show up to do the estimate - ask any "chain" / "dealership" to send you a full copy of theirs BEFORE they show up - if they will not you called the wrong contractor...
Detailed information on ALL systems on the next page (what we do not do)
This is one reason
buried perforated pipe - these appear to be about 3/4 years old
interior french drains, exterior footing drains & exterior curtain drains
full thru cutting of the floor off the support of the footings (settlement)
interior french drains & interior top of footings (clean water) perimeter drains
BURIED PERFORATED PIPE OR DUCT!!!
This is what travels thru ALL buried perforated pipe / duct systems (note the sediment in the water)...
This is what you buy with an exterior underground curtain drain, footing drain or interior under floor french drain using a perforated rigid or perforated corrugated pipe or duct system...
When buried in mud, hour after hour, day after day, week after week, month after month and year after year the perforated pipe eventually becomes totally plugged with precipitated sediment deposits...
Some a bit longer / some sooner but happen it will...
You find out yourself, the hard way, everything stated on this site is true...
Sleeves, wraps, screens or stone DO NOT stop precipitated sediment buildup within the buried pipe or duct - nothing can - the water must be leeched from the mud - if the water can pass so can the sediment...
AND NO, you cannot snake it out or flush it out with a garden hose...
"WE DO NOT BURY ANY PERFORATED PIPE OR DUCTS"
We have "NEVER" had a failure with our "clean water" procedure
THERE IS NOTHING TO FAIL
FORGET THE HARD SELL SALES PITCH (that's to make big bucks)
USE YOUR OWN COMMON SENSE (that's why you have it)
YOU DON'T NEED A DEGREE IN ENGINEERING
Sump pump installations
Tanking (positive or negative pressure sides)
These procedures can be done alone or together as/if required...
"BASEMENT WATER CONTROL"
"it's all we do, we do it well, it works and we warranty it"
11 years with NO complaints, NO failures - what does that tell you
NO "chain" / "dealership" can make that statement - not one
