If you are looking to resolve your IRS problems, contact them. If you’re looking to waste time and keep placing your IRS issues on hold, don’t give them a call. They know their stuff and they helped me recover. I was a truck driver during the late 90s and I ended filing all of my tax years in 2000 as soon as I filed Bankruptcy… that was wrong. The IRS confirmed I owed $64,000. Their lawyer work determined that given that I'm now retired and on fixed income, I can no longer pay this. I wouldn't even think to fight the IRS alone.
