Powder Coating is the “paint of the future”. It is superior to liquid paint in nearly every way. Shoreline Coatings provides quality powder coating services throughout Connecticut. There are several distinct advantages in choosing powder coating over conventional liquid painting:
- *Tough and durable * Incredible longevity *Corrosion and resistant *Chemical resistant
- *Infinite variety of colors *UV stable *Environmentally friendly *Superior look and performance
How Does Powder Coating Work?
Answer: Dry powder (tiny particles of color pigment) is electrostatically charged as it flows out of the tip of specially designed powder coating guns. It is then attracted to the substrate with an opposite electrostatic charge. It clings to the part while it’s cured (melts) in an industrial oven. After the part is cured, and cools to room temperature, it’s ready to be put back into service.
Ceramic coating is a liquid sprayed coating applied at Shoreline Coatings in CT which has extreme temperature stability and is ideal for high temperature applications like exhaust manifolds, headers, and turbochargers. The coating provides a thermal barrier between the hot exhaust gasses and the exhaust, dissipating heat away from the engine and right out the tailpipe which results in lower and more reliable engine temperature, longer component life, improved exhaust heat flow and ultimately more horsepower – but best of all – a great looking exhaust!
