The original practice was founded in 1986 via Dr. Robert F. Weiss, known as The Podiatry Center of Darien. In 2008, Dr. Robert F. Weiss welcomed with great pleasure his son, Dr. Scott H. Weiss, into the practice, and it was renamed to The Foot and Ankle Institute of Darien. Dr. Scott H. Weiss completed a 3 year foot and ankle reconstructive surgical residency at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School in Boston, Mass. His Specialty involves the comprehensive treatment of reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, utilizing the newest and most advanced techniques.
At The Foot and Ankle Institute of Darien, our doctors specialize in Foot and Ankle Surgery, Sports Medicine, Trauma of the Foot and Ankle and Diabetic Care of the Lower Extremity. Patients with these types of ailments are seen at the FAI-Darien, and the safest treatment plans are devised to help the condition being treated. Our doctors have close follow-ups with their patients to make sure the treatment plans are being carried out with improving progression.
