White Tiger, formally West Hartford school of TaeKwon-Do, was family founded in 1994. White Tiger is one of the few schools in Connecticut that is certfied and licensed with the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF). ITF certification means that rank earned in our school is nationally regonized in any US and ITF school in the country or around the world.
Taekwon-Do, the art of hand and foot fighting, was founded in 1955 by a man named General Hong Hi (1946 - 2002). Taekwon-Do is an unarmed self-defense system that orginated in the Koguryo Dynasty (37 BC) from the Korean art of foot fighting called Taek Kyon and hand fighting called Soo bak-Gi. This defense system is the fastest growing martial arts among children and adults in the world today.
Classes are taught by: Mr.Kenneth Rattet (ITF 6th Dan Black Belt), Mr.Seth Rattet (ITF 5th Dan Black Belt), Mrs. Marie Rattet (ITF 4th Dan).

Classes are taught the traditional ITF way. Students start off as a White belt and learn the basic moves. Students are then guided through each belt level until the privalege of black belt is achieved. The school focuses on high standards that are set forth by the school and ITF-Federation.
Our Mission: To have everyone of our students reach their full potential. This has a different meaning for all. Full potential can mean the privilege of sparring; being able to teach; enjoy being in class and learning new patterns; and being able to break boards.
Taekwon-Do has many aspects and levels so that it can be enjoyed by everyone regardless of ability.
