My commitment is to help people bring balance into their lives. Integrating Western treatments with Eastern philosophy is very rewarding, because although they appear to be at opposite ends of the spectrum, they are actually complementary to one another.
While traditional Chinese medicine integrates ways of diagnosing such as pulse-taking, observation and questioning, my Japanese shiatsu and acupuncture training also enables me to "fine tune" Hara diagnosis (abdominal palpation) while treating reflex points. This clears areas of stagnation, builds areas that are weak, gives an overall sense of well-being, and most importantly, empowers you by bringing a "felt sense" of awareness to your own body-mind-spirit.
