FEEL FREE TO BROWSE OUR INFORMATIVE SITE - BUT PLEASE VISIT AGAIN IN NOVEMBER FOR A NEW LOOK AND EXPANDED RESOURCES.
Welcome and thank you for visiting our website. As of July 1, 2010, Bailey Schaefer & Errato merged with Murphy Sloman & Company to form Bailey Murphy & Scarano. The former websites have been redirected here (in case you're wondering how you actually arrived here!).
While this website is under construction (please bear with us) take a moment to learn more about the merger, and the exciting things ahead!
The firms have joined together to strengthen their capabilities and create a new kind of accounting firm.
Bailey Schaefer & Errato was a family-owned firm that evolved since its founding in 1916. Michael Schaefer retired. Dom Scarano and Michael Bailey joined as partners, and Andy Errato, who is still our partner, all agreed the firm needed to expand its capabilities and potential for growth.
Murphy Sloman, also a Branford-based firm, was in a similar situation. A strong and loyal client base existed but there was a need for deeper capabilities.
So David Bailey and Camille Murphy, classmates from Quinnipiac University, began a dialogue. It quickly became clear that a merger of firms made sense. They shared the same values, the same challenges, and the same need for greater depth and strength. The merger was finalized July 1, 2010.
The goal of the new firm is really quite simple. To go beyond the core services of an accounting firm and offer more - more perspective and insight, more advanced technology, and more giving back to the communities where we live and work. Our belief is that we can combine the values of a family-owned business with the progressive practices of a cutting-edge accounting firm. This will add up to make a powerful difference to the clients we serve.
We hope this website will become a helpful resource for you - our valued clients, friends, and visitors. Our dedication to superior client service has brought us together as we continue to provide the highest quality professional services and guidance.
