Welcome to the websites of the organizations founded by Sensei David R. LoPriore. Sensei LoPriore is a Connecticut State Licensed Acupuncturist, and a senior American practitioner of Oriental medicine, traditional martial arts, and Asian arts of self-cultivation. He is the Director of Acupuncture, Shiatsu, and Oriental Medicine of New England medical clinic (ASOMNE), and has been practicing Asian medicine for nearly twenty years. He is the Kan Cho, Head Instructor of Bushidokai Traditional Martial Arts Dojo, having practiced traditional martial arts and many other Asian arts of self-cultivation for twenty five years. And, he is the Kai Cho, Headmaster of Kosho Shorei Shin Kai (KSSK), the organization he founded in 2004 to govern the dissemination of the traditional teachings of Kosho Shorei Ryu.
Kosho Shorei Ryu is a 23-generation-old art founded in 1235 a.d. by a warrior-healer-monk in Ancient Japan. Sensei LoPriore is one of only two Headmasters in the United States qualified and authorized to teach this comprehensive and precious art in its entirety. He is the only one who is a qualified physician-level practitioner of the healing traditions within this art. The title Sensei, which translates to "Teacher", is given in Japan to head teachers of a traditional art, and is also used to denote fully-qualified acupuncturists.
