At Liberation Programs people are taking concrete steps towards leading happier, productive and substance-free lives. Each year as many as 25,000 pregnant or parenting women in Connecticut suffer from a substance abuse disorder. These mothers, who all too often have few treatment options, have turned to our Families in Recovery Program (FIRP) to begin a new journey. As one of our agency's six targeted programs, FIRP provides residential treatment and supportive services for 40 mothers and their children every year.Watch our video to see how this unique program fosters sobriety, wellness and self-sufficiency for mothers to ensure that babies are born healthy and that young ones are safe.
