canceled from his/her course for non-payment. Pay your bill.

The Hospitality Management program at Naugatuck Valley Community College invites members of the College and the local community to attend this year's Autumn Luncheon Series, which will feature a variety of foods obtained from Connecticut farms.

Three NVCC Students Invited to Visit NASA This Fall!

Three Naugatuck Valley Community College students have been selected to travel to NASA to participate in a three-day on-site event. Bryan Alvarado and Nicole Guglielmo of Waterbury and Joshua Milas, Newtown, have been selected among 89 community and junior college students from across the nation to be part of the National Community College Aerospace Scholars program.

Meet Mia, NVCCs New Engineering Technologies Director

On July 30, Mia Lambrakis Samsel, P.E., M.S., became Naugatuck Valley Community College’s new engineering technologies division director. Her position oversees all of the College’s engineering technology programs and serves as a liaison to local technology companies and the greater engineering community in the region.

President De Filippis Honored at "One Woman Makes a Difference" Awards Dinner

On Tuesday, October 5, Daisy Cocco De Filippis, Ph.D., president of Naugatuck Valley Community College, will be one of five honorees recognized by the Connecticut Women’s Education and Legal Fund (CWEALF) at the “One Woman Makes a Difference” awards dinner.

Mauricio Pita-Goncalves, a 2009 graduate of the visual and performing arts theatre and dance program at Naugatuck Valley Community College, and former vice-president of the College’s Student Government Association, was accepted into Yale University's 2009 Summer Conservatory for Actors at the Yale School of Drama.

Maria Arcari was born in Ecuador and came to the United States when she was 18 years old. Fluent in Spanish and English, she has lived and experienced the American and Latino cultures as part of her everyday life.

Chris graduated in 1997 from Amity High School in Woodbridge before attending Naugatuck Valley Community College, where he took an associate degree in general studies in 1999. At the College, he was the editor-in-chief of The Tamarack and a member of the Student Senate.

John Fusco, accomplished Hollywood screenwriter, credits Naugatuck Valley Community College with the start of his successful career.

Florin Ion Firimita is a visual artist, teacher, author and filmmaker who traces his interest in art back to his father’s modest amateur photo lab in Bucharest, Romania, where he was entrusted with mixing chemicals, developing lm and printing black-and-white photos at the age of six.

John A. Connelly was born and raised in Waterbury, Connecticut. He graduated from Crosby High School in 1967, whereupon he enlisted in the United States Navy and served from 1967 to 1971.

Natalie is the owner of a 26 year old business, Ragtime Boutique in Watertown, which she purchased in 1999. Her business serves as the official wardrobe sponsor to Miss Connecticut, to whom she has donated several gowns and outfits throughout the years, as well as helping to prepare Miss Connecticut for the Miss America Pageant.
