The Karate World Heiwakan of Westbrook, Connecticut seeks to instill self-confidence, coordination, physical fitness and discipline in all those interested in practicing a traditional martial-art. The discipline achieved in practicing the art of Okinawan Goju-ryu Karate-do will last a lifetime, be it in school, at work or during leisure. The Heiwakan formally opened it's doors on March 1, 1977 and has been involved with the Westbrook community and southern Connecticut ever since.
