Success in business is built with a balance between in home talent and outsourcing. As you outsource it allows you to focus where you need to while relying on the experience of others. Out of small businesses that fail, 90% do so because of lack of skills and knowledge on the part of the owner. Every business has to determine whether they should perform a service in-house, or outsource that particular service to an outside vendor.

In-House:

You need multiple specialists or vendors to create results with each marketing medium.

Setting up hiring and equipment to begin a project takes longer when starting from scratch.

The constant battle of talent acquisition, training and implementation adds to the challenge.

An inside marketing team may not have the depth of expertise you can find with outside specialists.

If you stay in-house, you are responsible for the stress of employee.

Markets, competition and technologies all change very quickly and every business investment carries certain amount of risk that in-house handling must take.

 Outsourcing:

A comprehensive and competent outsourced provider can get you more specialists for less costs.

Outsourcing to trained individuals allows you projects to quickly begin and move forward quickly.

Outsourcing to those with experience allows your business to scale at a greater level.

Specialist with experience in marketing strategy, techniques and tools help you keep up with a rapidly changing business world.

If you have to manage your outsourced vendors, outsourcing may backfire. To lower stress, you will need a marketing partners to help you manage it as well. External firms can help reduce performances stress because the outside partner is responsible for the results achieved.

Outsourcing providers assume and manage the risk for you, and they generally are much better at deciding how to avoid risk and their areas of expertise.

In order to decide what tasks to keep in-house and which to outsource, a company needs to examine its size and the abilities of their current work force before making any significant changes to their company structure. Most companies however will and do benefit from outsourcing one or more company tasks.
