Welcome to Massage and Trauma Care for Women Carol Springer, RN, B.Sci. Nursing, lic. Massage and Trauma Touch Therapist TM
Massage is self care that helps maintain and restore health. As more people (including health care providers) utilize massage to enhance the value of their self care, it is now widely being recognized as complimentary health care rather than alternative health care.
I love helping you experience the unique quality of touch your body needs.
After 18 years of nursing, too much paper work and too little patient contact motivated me to blend my nursing skills with massage therapy. Now, 28 years later, I continue to help people enjoy their health care and relieve symptoms from acute or chronic conditions, such as back, neck or joint pains, arthritis, fibromyalgia and injuries. My work often soothes the harsh effects of cancer and cancer treatments.
My clients say: - I sleep better - My breathing is fuller
I just had to write to express the joy I am feeling after our session. I'm walking around the house in stocking feet, feeling like I am floating on clouds. My feet haven't felt this good in many, many years. It no longer hurts to walk barefoot on carpet. I can feel my feet bending, rather than the stiff-footed way I used to walk. I am walking around the house just to feel my feet move in all the ways they should, just because it feels good.
I love to dance, and haven't been able to do that. Now I have hope that I can dance again.
I have taught Massage at Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy(www.ccmt.com) Trauma Touch Therapy TM at Colorado School of Healing Arts (www.csha.net). Workshops for health professionals Enrichment classes for massage and self care.
I have written Return to Your Senses Handbook to guide growth after trauma, to aid compassion fatigue recovery and to help people whose lives feel too busy.
